Double Header

I actually went out and did something tonight. Chris and I saw two movies, Miracle and Hidalgo, at the mall ... pretty much back to back. Miracle got out at about 9:50 and Hidalgo started at 10:10. Hah ... we didn't even get out of the theatre until 12:30. Both were actually good movies. So if you haven't seen either, I recommend that you do go see them both.

On to other new news. Ms. Williams got fired *hums a happy ditty* and the guy from Annapolis Middle (Don Lilley?) took over. Much to my surprise, I pulled into the parking lot this morning and some guy comes up and tells me I can't sit in my car in the morning ... what the fuck? *mumbles* As much as I don't like it I'll cooperate for the first couple days. Lacey subdued my protests pretty well by telling me that she already talked to him about it and it's just a precaution to ease the transition. It better fucking well be *ONLY* a transition procedure ... otherwise I'm going to have MAJOR issues with this principal as well. Apparently they're also shooting down teachers down like ducks in hunting season. I doubt that so called "investigation" turned up any solid proof, but obviously I don't know. I just have an extreme lack of faith in our school system's integrity, ESPECIALLY with that jackass Smith running the show. hmmm ... enough of my opinionated bantering.

Don't really have much else to mention, so I'll end this post with a song that I've been listening to all day:

Yes, I was doing alright
Nothing but rainbows in my skys
I was doing alright
'Til you came by
Had no cause to complain
Life was as sweet as apple pie
Never notice the rain
'Til you came by

But now, whenever you away
Can't sleep nights and suffer all day
I just sit and wonder
If love isn't one big plunder
But when you hold me tight
Tingling all through I feel somehow
I was doing alright
But I'm doing better than ever now

And now, whenever you away
Can't sleep nights and suffer all day
I just sit and wonder
If love isn't one puppy plunder
But when you hold me tight
Tingling all through I feel somehow
I was doing alright
But I'm doing a little better than ever now

- I Was Doing Alright, Louis Armstrong
