Don't Worry, Be Happy

So today is the first day in a while that I've actually been in an extremely good mood. I don't think it's any one particular reason, although the fact that it was an absolutely gorgeous day helped out a lot ..... you know it's been cold when you consider 50 degrees warm. I mean I had my window and sunroof open driving to the jazz band rehearsal I apparently didn't know we had. *shrugs* oh well ... it was a nice drive nonetheless. Didn't have much to do tonight other than practicing and reading one sheet in psych.... pretty unusal considering I'm technically taking five AP classes and we've missed A LOT of school this year. One would think the teachers would be cramming stuff into our heads.

Speaking of practicing ... I think I actually have a pretty fair shot at this Friends of the Annapolis Symphony Scholarship. It's an awesome piece ... and it's on my C trumpet! hahaha ... in case you don't understand my excitement: I like my C trumpet MUCH better than my Bb trumpet. It has such a nicer tone, and for some reason I find it easier to play higher. Dunno why that is .... but at any rate I like it a lot better. I mean I still have... what? ... 3 weeks until the audition? and the piece is pretty much put together. All I have to do is polish up a few sections. I'm going to go to a few of my trumpet teacher's rep classes that he has for he undergrad and grad students. Should be loads of fun. hehehe.

Ok .... I'm making a vow right here that I'll be in shape by the end of the summer. Seeing as how my plan to go to the gym with han after school on some days (we both get out a period early with D lunch on Adays) most likely won't work out. So I've decided that I'm gonna bug my dad to help me go get the bike fixed. Last time I rode it the chain broke, so we need to go get a new one. I'm also gonna work on the upper body with weights. Maybe alternating days of weights and biking? I'll see if my dad can help me get a work out set up. But I really really need to get into shape. I played ultimate frisbee yesterday with some of the guys after school. Wow ... I didn't do a lot of running and I'm actually tight today. lol ... it's freaking pathetic. So that's my personal goal for the rest of the year.

Report cards came out today obviously. For some reason I got my report card even when I still owe Gershon a book I've never gotten around to giving back to her. Oi that woman .... she's a nice enough person ... but really ..... lol her AP class is a joke. eh whatever ... I'll give it back...............eventually :-P. What did I get on my report card? eh .... straight As for the first semester in my whole high school career. That was something else that helped put me in a good mood today. Gave my gpa, and most likely my class standing, a nice boost. Honestly, I don't know how I got the grades I did ..... it seems like it should've been a lot harder than it was. O well ... whatever I'm happy lol.

80 year old men and Viagra

I don't know about the rest of you, but there's something about a 40 yr. old horn player being hit on by an 84 yr. old man who relies completely on viagra in order to .... well you know where that goes. But yeah ... I had to listen and watch quite a bit of that tonight; not pleasant in the slightest. I think I actually had laughter/disgust look on my face because at one point the lady said, "O he does this too me all through the show. It's nothing," or something along those lines... humm ... lol ... right ... *shrugs* well I guess whatever floats your boat, eh?

So how was my weekend? Eh ... fairly boring. Went over to Chris's house on friday and that was a tremendous help to clear my mind and relieve the depressive mood I was in for about a week. Saturday was a saturday. Went to sinfonia then spent the rest of the weekend at home. Tryed to read Macbeth but the meaning in it was lost to me; so I got online book notes to help me along. Today was my dad's birthday, so I ran out at about 11am and got him a Miles Davis cd and an Eagles cd. He got a crazy shirt (Hawaiin type things) and something else that I don't remember. We had some chocolate mousse cake from the Main Ingredient for his bday cake .... wow ... that's some rich cake right there ... good, but rich. hmmm ... other interesting points? umm ... nothing really ... unless you consider talking online for about 15 hours to one person over the weekend intersting ;-). haha ... seeing as how it's a school night, and I don't really feel like thinking to hard right now, I'm going to leave the inner musings for later.
